Welcome to the world of Stromberg®
jazz guitars, the home of affordable excellence.
We are a small, limited production jazz guitar company whose primary goal is total customer satisfaction, all achieved in a price range where jazz guitars of this quality and playability were formerly unobtainable. Our mission statement at Stromberg® is affordable excellence. We believe that there simply is not a better jazz guitar made in this price range. Please understand that these archtop guitars are in no way intended to be replicas of the famous Stromberg®s from a bygone era. One simply does not duplicate a Rembrandt or the Venus de Milo. But, what we have accomplished is to create a line of terrific jazz guitars that won't break the bank, and are worthy of use by any professional musician. These archtop guitars are an extraordinary value and play and sound like instruments costing far more. We now have a total of 6 models. The three main models are the Montreux, which is a traditional single cutaway, 2 pickup jazz guitar; the Newport, which is a highly distinctive, unique non-cutaway floating pickup guitar evocative of the earlier style jazz guitars; and the unique Monterey, which is a thinline single cutaway guitar and is our closest version of an all purpose guitar. The remaining three models are variations on the above: the Montreux S, which is an acoustic version of the Montreux; the Newport LH, which is a left-handed version of the Newport; and the Monterey H, which is a fully hollow version of the Monterey, offering a louder acoustic sound, and an 'airier' amplified tone. Detailed info on each of these models can be found on the 'Jazz Guitars' page of this site. All our models use Kent Armstrong® Pickups, Kluson® tuners and all top notch components throughout. No corners are cut, even in places you cannot see. Every guitar gets lots of bench time before shipping to make sure all the little details are right and you can take your new Stromberg® jazz guitar right out of the case and play a gig with it, as many of our customers and endorsers have done already. All guitars feature D'Addario® Jazz guitar strings. The instruments are guaranteed for 1 year. Currently, we have just a small but dedicated dealer network, because direct sale customers are snatching them up so fast. So, we offer a 72 hour trial period for home usage. This works the same way most vintage dealers do- you buy the instrument, try it for 72 hours, and if you like it, great. If not, you can return it for a full refund, less the shipping costs, no questions asked. If you are a qualified jazz
guitar dealer, we are very interested in expanding our dealer network
in the US, so please contact us. We still have prime sales territories
available. Sincerely,Larry DavisFounder
